Bilt launches Bilt Card 2.0, letting renters and homeowners earn rewards on rent and mortgage payments with no transaction fees and a 10% intro AP

Bilt today announced the launch of Bilt Card 2.0, a new suite of three credit cards that significantly expands the company’s rewards platform by allowing homeowners to earn points on mortgage payments for the first time. The move marks a major shift in the credit card industry, where housing payments—often the largest monthly expense—have traditionally gone unrewarded.

All new cardholders receive a 10.00% introductory APR on eligible purchases for the first 12 months, subject to terms and credit approval. The cards are launched in partnership with Cardless, Fidem Financial, and Column N.A., combining modern fintech infrastructure with regulated banking support.

From rewarding rent to rewarding homeownership

Since its founding in 2019, Bilt has focused on helping renters earn rewards and build credit through on-time rent payments. With Bilt Card 2.0, that original mission now extends to homeowners, enabling members to earn rewards on both rent and mortgage payments without transaction fees or preset housing spending limits.

“This is a win for renters. This is a win for homeowners. This is a win for Americans,” said Ankur Jain, Founder and CEO of Bilt. “We’re not just launching new cards—we’re rewarding the way people actually live.”

Today, Bilt is a $10.75 billion private company headquartered in New York City, with a housing membership platform used by millions of Americans and available in roughly one in four apartment buildings nationwide.

Three cards designed for different lifestyles

The Bilt Card 2.0 lineup includes three options: the premium Bilt Palladium Card with a $495 annual fee, the mid-tier Bilt Obsidian Card at $95 per year, and the no-annual-fee Bilt Blue Card. All three earn Bilt Points and 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday spending, while allowing members to pay rent and mortgages without using their credit line.

Bilt Cash is a new rewards currency that can be redeemed for restaurant, hotel, and rideshare credits, or used to unlock additional points on housing payments—giving members flexibility in how they use their rewards.

Everyday spending unlocks housing rewards

A key innovation of Bilt Card 2.0 is the link between everyday spend and housing rewards. For every $30 in Bilt Cash earned, members can unlock 1,000 Bilt Points when making rent or mortgage payments, even across multiple homes.

Seamless transition and strong leadership

Existing cardholders can upgrade to Bilt Card 2.0 by January 30, 2026, with no hard credit inquiry and uninterrupted subscriptions or digital wallet access. Backed by a leadership team that includes Ankur Jain, former American Express CEO Ken Chenault, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and former Fannie Mae CEO Timothy Mayopoulos, Bilt is positioning itself at the center of how Americans pay for—and earn from—their homes.
