Discover Bumi by Noetix Robotics- an affordable humanoid robot priced at $1,400, designed for education, creativity, and accessible AI learning

For roughly the same cost of a high-end phone, you can now buy an affordable humanoid robot. Beijing-based startup Noetix Robotics has launched Bumi, a low-cost educational consumer robot for roughly 10,000 yuan ($1,400). The action is a mark of a significant step towards marketizing humanoid robots and moving out of the pricey industrial and research space.

Three feet tall and 26 pounds, Bumi may be small but is full of promise. Designed primarily for learning and entertainment, this affordable humanoid robot can walk, dance, and talk to users while also functioning as a learning platform for programming and artificial intelligence.

Learning and Creativity Take Center Stage

According to TechNode, Bumi will have a coding and AI programming interface to allow users to design innovative tasks and learning exercises. Hobbyists, students, and teachers can learn robotics without the exorbitant price tag usually attached. Noetix plans to begin preorders for the affordable humanoid robot later this year and expects to inspire the next generation of innovators and engineers.

Before Bumi, Noetix already showcased its capability for robotics with its previous model, the Noetix N2, which became news worldwide by joining the first half-marathon for humanoid robots in the world. The N2 completed the 21-kilometer distance and finished second, which made Noetix a name to watch out for in the robotics sector.

Raising the Bar in the Low-Cost Robotics Market

At just $1,400, Bumi outcompetes other contestants in the consumer robotics space. To put things into perspective, Unitree's R1 robot starts at a price of $5,900, and Tesla's Optimus will likely cost around $20,000. With its phenomenal blend of affordability and capability, Noetix's affordable humanoid robot could redefine the playbook for what consumers expect out of personal robots.

A Look into the Future of Everyday Robotics

Industry insiders think that with the advent of Bumi, the world can speed up the adoption of personal robots. As artificial intelligence combines with human form, the cost-effective humanoid bot will be a ubiquitous presence in schools and homes alongside smartphones or tablets.

By virtue of Bumi, Noetix Robotics is not merely retailing a machine-aspect — it is initiating a revolution toward a more intelligent and engaging future.
