Apple Unveils iPhone Duo as Its First iPhone Foldable

Apple launches its first iPhone foldable, the iPhone Duo, with a 7.6-inch display, A20 Pro chip and a starting price of ₹2,99,900 in India

Apple introduced the iPhone Duo at its September 2026 event, making it the company’s first foldable iPhone. The phone has a 7.6-inch display when opened and a 5.4-inch display on the outside. The iPhone foldable also comes with Apple’s A20 Pro chip and a 48MP dual-camera system. Apple also announced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5.

iPhone Duo Has Two Displays

The iPhone Duo has a titanium body and a precision hinge. Both displays support ProMotion and Always-On display. Apple has used two batteries inside the phone along with a vapor chamber for heat control.

The phone runs on the A20 Pro chip. Its rear camera setup includes a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra-Wide camera. There is also a 12MP Center Stage front camera.

iPhone 18 Pro Gets Camera Changes

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max come with a 48MP main camera with variable aperture. Apple has also added controls for shutter speed, aperture, white balance, and histogram settings.

The phones use the A20 Pro chip and support 4K Dolby Vision HDR video recording. Apple has listed the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max from ₹1,64,900 and ₹1,79,900 respectively in India. More information is available on Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro page.

iOS 27 Comes With the iPhone Duo

The iPhone Duo runs on iOS 27; the software changes the interface when the phone is opened or folded. Users can also place apps side by side on the larger display.

Apple Intelligence and updated Siri features are also included.

Apple Watch and AirPods Updated

Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 add features including Sound Recognition, Audio Intelligence, and Live Rewind.

AirPods 5 come with updated audio, noise cancellation, Transparency mode, and new controls.

The Apple foldable phone starts at ₹2,99,900 in India. Apple says pre-orders for the iPhone Duo begin on October 16, with sales starting October 23.
