Short background of Lynette Schwanger, CEO and Founder
As a teen, Lynette developed an unhealthy obsession with the Lord of the Rings movies which sparked a lifelong interest in film. After graduating from Denison University with degrees in Cinema and English Writing, she worked her way through Chicago’s film scene keen on mastering all aspects of video production, from the creative to the technical. After witnessing first-hand the always-on burnout culture that permeated the production and agency world, Lynette knew there was a better way. She co-founded Lightswitch with the belief that happy people do great work - and that employee work-life balance is essential to success
As CEO, Lynette loves using her video expertise to help the Lightswitch team bring clients’ visions to life creatively through video. On the weekends you can find her climbing mountains with her husband, Mike, or cuddling her cat, Pierre, and dog, Voo, who hopes to be as good of a climber as Biscuit someday.
