The system is designed specifically for software-as-a-medical-device (SaMD) development, where regulatory precision is essential.

A key feature of the platform is its ability to generate regulatory-ready artifacts such as audit trails, traceability matrices, and eSTAR-aligned submissions required by global regulators like the US FDA and European medical authorities. Tata Elxsi said the AI software development platform could reduce software change assessment timelines from several weeks to as little as 72 hours. The company also expects productivity improvements of up to 60% through automation, AI-driven workflows, and faster validation cycles.
