Mind Robotics raises $400M in new funding led by Kleiner Perkins to expand AI robotics in manufacturing and scale factory automation deployments
Mind Robotics has raised $400 million in a new financing round led by Kleiner Perkins, bringing the company’s total funding to more than $1 billion. The investment marks another major milestone for the fast-growing robotics startup as demand for AI-powered factory automation continues to rise.
The latest round included participation from several new investors, including Meritech Capital, SV Angel, Redpoint Ventures, A-Star Capital, Incharge Capital, and Garuda Ventures. Existing backers such as Accel, Eclipse, Andreessen Horowitz, Bain Capital Ventures, Prysm Capital, and Greenoaks also joined the financing.
AI Robotics in Manufacturing Continues to Grow
The rise of AI robotics in manufacturing is transforming how factories operate worldwide. Companies are increasingly investing in intelligent robotic systems capable of improving efficiency, reducing labor-intensive tasks, and streamlining production processes.
Founded in 2025, Mind Robotics develops industrial robotics technology that combines AI foundation models, advanced hardware, and deployment infrastructure to automate complex manufacturing operations. The company focuses on creating scalable robotic solutions designed for real-world industrial environments.
Rivian Partnership Supports Real-World Deployment
Mind Robotics works closely with electric vehicle maker Rivian, which serves as both an investor and operational partner. The company uses Rivian’s facilities in California to train and deploy its robotics systems in live factory settings.
This partnership gives Mind Robotics direct access to manufacturing environments where it can test and refine its AI-powered automation tools. The company believes this hands-on approach will accelerate the adoption of AI robotics in manufacturing across multiple industries.
Investors See Robotics as the Next Major Market
Ilya Fushman, partner at Kleiner Perkins, described robotics as “the ultimate frontier,” highlighting how advances in AI models and robotics hardware are creating massive market opportunities.
Founder RJ Scaringe said the new funding will help the company expand deployments and strengthen its technology roadmap. As global demand for AI robotics in manufacturing continues to rise, Mind Robotics plans to scale its solutions across more production facilities worldwide.
