flydubai has announced the launch of direct services to Benghazi, marking a major expansion of its North African network. The airline will begin operating flights to Benghazi Benina International Airport from June 17, 2026, becoming the first UAE carrier to connect Dubai with the Libyan city. The new flydubai Benghazi flights service will operate three times a week from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.

First UAE Airline to Connect Dubai and Benghazi

The new route is expected to strengthen trade, tourism, and business ties between the UAE and Libya while improving regional connectivity. Passengers traveling on the new route will also benefit from the airline’s codeshare partnership with Emirates, allowing seamless onward travel through Dubai with single-ticket bookings and baggage check-through services.

Return Economy Class Lite fares from Dubai to Benghazi will start at Dh4,500, while Business Class fares begin at Dh10,500. Travelers flying from Benghazi to Dubai can book Economy fares starting at $800 and Business Class tickets from $2,500.

Expansion Across Africa and Summer Destinations

The launch of flydubai Benghazi flights comes as the carrier continues to grow its operations across Africa and other international markets. With Benghazi added to the map, the airline’s network in East and North Africa will increase to 13 destinations across nine countries.

Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith said the airline is scaling operations to meet rising travel demand, with its overall network expected to exceed 100 destinations by summer 2026. The airline has also resumed services across the GCC, Europe, Russia, and the wider Middle East.

Flight Schedule Details

Flight FZ1147 will depart Dubai at 6:50am and arrive in Benghazi at 10:45am local time. The return service, FZ1148, will leave Benghazi at 11:45am and land in Dubai at 7:15pm. Industry analysts believe the new flydubai Benghazi flights route could further boost tourism and business travel between the two regions.
