The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee debuts with three V-8 engines, bold muscle-truck styling, and up to 777 horsepower for street performance fans

Ram is entering a bold new era with the launch of the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee, a street-focused pickup lineup designed to combine muscle-car energy with modern truck performance. The new family of performance trucks includes three powerful V-8 engine options and a sporty design inspired by classic American muscle vehicles.

The new 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee lineup features a 395-horsepower 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter V-8, and a supercharged 777-horsepower 6.2-liter Hellcat engine. These trucks are built for drivers who want aggressive styling, high-speed performance, and everyday practicality in one package.

Ram Targets Muscle Truck Fans

Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis said the idea behind the Rumble Bee family started shortly after his return to the company in 2024. The goal was to create a modern street-performance truck inspired by iconic vehicles like the Dodge Li’l Red Express and the Viper-powered SRT-10 pickup.

Unlike Ram’s TRX, which focuses heavily on off-road capability, the new Rumble Bee models are designed mainly for street performance. They feature a shorter wheelbase, lowered stance, rear-wheel-drive capability, and widebody styling borrowed from the TRX and RHO models.

Ram believes the timing is perfect as many performance enthusiasts continue searching for alternatives after the end of Dodge’s V-8-powered Charger and Challenger muscle cars.

High Performance Across the Lineup

The flagship SRT version delivers massive performance numbers. Ram says the Hellcat-powered truck can reach 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 170 mph. The company also claims the truck can complete the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds.

The SRT model comes with adaptive Bilstein dampers, air suspension, Brembo brakes, and huge 22-inch wheels wrapped in ultra-wide tires. Ram engineers also added aerodynamic upgrades such as a front splitter, rear spoiler, and cooling vents to improve high-speed stability.

Meanwhile, the standard and 392 models provide more affordable performance options. The base truck reaches 60 mph in around 6.1 seconds, while the 392 version cuts that figure down to 5.2 seconds.

Aggressive Design Meets Everyday Utility

Despite their performance focus, the trucks still maintain practical features expected from a modern pickup. The Rumble Bee family can tow up to 8,890 pounds and carry nearly 1,200 pounds of payload.

All models feature a quad-cab configuration paired with a short cargo bed, giving the trucks a sportier appearance while improving handling. The interior includes large infotainment screens, paddle shifters, digital displays, and upgraded materials depending on the trim level.

Ram has also replaced the traditional rotary shifter with a center-console gear lever to give the cabin a more performance-oriented feel.

Pricing and Release Timeline

The standard 5.7-liter version will arrive at dealerships later this year, while the 392 and SRT models are expected in early 2027. Ram has not officially announced pricing, but industry experts expect the entry-level model to start around $60,000.

The top-tier 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT is expected to cross the six-figure mark due to its high-performance hardware and exclusive features.

With the return of V-8 engines and a growing demand for performance-focused vehicles, Ram is betting that muscle trucks could become the next major trend in the pickup market.
