Prophetic AI dream device claims to control lucid dreams using AI and ultrasound tech. Check features, pricing, release dates, and expert skepticism
Artificial intelligence is continuing to reshape consumer technology, but a new product from startup Prophetic AI is attracting major attention for an unusual reason. The company claims its latest Prophetic AI dream device can help users influence and control their dreams through wearable technology.
The startup recently introduced two headband-style devices called Dual and Phase. Worn across the forehead during sleep, these gadgets are designed to trigger lucid dreaming—a state in which a person realizes they are dreaming and may even guide what happens next.
How the Prophetic AI Dream Device Works
According to the company, the Prophetic AI dream device uses safe ultrasonic energy directed through the forehead to stimulate the brain’s prefrontal cortex. This region is associated with self-awareness, decision-making, and higher thinking.
Prophetic AI says the wearable activates the frontoparietal network, an area that becomes less active during normal dreaming. Because of this reduced activity, people usually remain unaware they are dreaming. By reactivating the network, the company believes users can enter lucid dream states more easily.
The device also includes EEG sensors that track brainwaves in real time. These sensors help identify REM sleep, the stage most connected to vivid dreams, allowing the gadget to respond at the right moment.
Experts Urge Caution Over Big Claims
The technology relies on transcranial focused ultrasound, or tFUS, combined with AI targeting systems. In theory, the method could improve dream clarity, increase recall, and even offer limited control over dream experiences.
However, experts say the claims remain unverified. While lucid dreaming has been studied for years, no mainstream consumer device has yet proven it can reliably induce or control dreams at scale. Researchers note that more clinical testing and independent review are needed before the Prophetic AI dream device can be fully trusted.
Pricing and Release Dates Revealed
Despite skepticism, consumer interest appears strong. Brain-tech wearables are becoming a growing category, especially products focused on sleep, wellness, and mental performance.
The entry-level Prophetic Dual model is priced at $449 (around Rs 42,300) and is expected to ship later this year. The premium Prophetic Phase version costs $1,299 (roughly Rs 1,22,000) and is scheduled for release in mid-2027.
A New Frontier for Sleep Technology
Whether the company can deliver on its promises remains uncertain. Still, Prophetic AI has sparked conversation by combining neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and sleep technology in a way rarely seen before.
If successful, dream-control wearables could open a new market where people don’t just sleep—they actively shape their nighttime experiences.
