Myriota launches eight new satellites to enhance satellite IoT connectivity, improving network performance, reliability, and global coverage across 57 countries.
Myriota is a world leader in secure, low-power satellite IoT connectivity. It has announced the successful launch of eight new satellites supporting its space-based UltraLite™ IoT network. The satellites were launched aboard SpaceX's Twilight mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base through Myriota's partnership with Spire Global.
The launch represents a major milestone for the company, offering considerable improvements in network performance, capacity, and resilience. Following the deployment of new satellites to orbit, Myriota reinforces its capability to provide reliable satellite IoT connectivity to customers operating in more than 57 countries worldwide.
Major Improvements in Performance and Reliability
The expanded constellation will enhance message delivery speed and reliability across Myriota's UltraLite™ Network, the company said. These upgrades are especially crucial for customers in remote or infrastructure-poor regions that rely on dependable satellite IoT connectivity to continue business operations with efficiency.
The company said the new orbital configuration enhances overall network resilience, ensuring consistent service as demand for IoT connectivity continues to grow globally.
Cost-Effective Expansion via Spire Global Partnership
The latest launch continues Myriota’s strategy of expanding its network through its collaboration with Spire Global. The satellites are optimized to host and operate Myriota’s proprietary technology in orbit, enabling the company to scale rapidly while meeting stringent standards for security, efficiency, and reliability.
This method allows Myriota to scale its satellite IoT connectivity infrastructure at lower costs, enabling large-scale deployments without sacrificing performance.
"Bringing these satellites into this new orbit delivers tangible benefits for our customers," said Paul Alexander, the chief network officer at Myriota. "Message delivery will be faster and more reliable, establishing a new level of UltraLite Network performance and reinforcing our commitment to scalable, resilient, and secure IoT connectivity."
Supporting Critical Industries Globally
The expanded UltraLite™ Network now supports a wide range of applications that include agriculture, water management, logistics, and environmental monitoring. Companies operating in solar energy, flood detection, and environmental sensing can now connect devices and assets globally using ultra-low power devices and low operating costs empowered by satellite IoT connectivity.
As industries increasingly rely on connected technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability, Myriota's growing constellation positions the company to be integral in the global IoT ecosystem. This latest launch sees Myriota continue to drive its leadership in satellite IoT connectivity and help organizations operate reliably in the most remote environments.
