Samsara Launches Smart Compliance, Weather Intelligence and Avatar

Samsara, the pioneer of the Connected Operations® Platform, today introduced three groundbreaking capabilities—Smart Compliance, Weather Intelligence, and the Samsara Avatar—at its Go Beyond conference in London. Designed to address the complex challenges faced by European fleet operators, these innovations aim to simplify regulatory compliance, enhance driver safety, and scale driver coaching programs with AI-powered tools.

A key announcement at the event was the partnership with AUMOVIO, Europe’s leading tachograph manufacturer under the VDO brand. VDO brings extensive EU compliance expertise and established infringement rulesets to strengthen Samsara’s compliance capabilities. This collaboration enables fleets to manage safety, regulatory oversight, and telematics in a single platform, helping reduce risk, improve operational efficiency, and protect drivers on the road.

Smart Compliance

Samsara Smart Compliance allows fleet operators to prevent, manage, and resolve tachograph infringements from one integrated platform. Tachograph violations account for nearly half of all DVSA HGV infractions, with fines reaching £300 per offence and operators facing penalties up to £5,000 or license revocation.

Smart Compliance consolidates fragmented tools by providing infringement analysis across 17 countries, a Compliance Inbox for managers, and Driver Debrief functionality for drivers via the Samsara Driver App. Proactive alerts notify drivers when critical milestones, like continuous driving limits, are approaching, transforming compliance management from reactive to proactive.

Future updates will include multi-ruleset support, advanced reporting, and coverage across 21 European countries by 2026.

Weather Intelligence

Weather Intelligence equips fleets with real-time and forecasted visibility into hazardous conditions, helping managers take proactive measures to protect drivers. By providing overlays for rain, snow, wind, thunderstorms, and temperature, fleets can identify vehicles at risk and send real-time alerts through in-cab audio or the Samsara Driver App. StreetSense technology even offers ground-level visibility in areas without fleet presence. Integrated into Samsara’s platform, Weather Intelligence eliminates the need for separate weather apps, giving managers a centralized view for safer, more informed decision-making.

Samsara Avatar and AI-Powered Coaching

The Samsara Avatar is an innovative AI-driven solution that scales driver coaching programs using life-like digital coaches. Integrated into the Samsara Driver App, this tool allows organizations to deliver consistent, engaging, and human-centered training experiences. Combined with AI-Powered Automated Coaching, fleets can automatically coach and recognize drivers based on real-time behavior, reinforcing safe driving habits while reducing administrative overhead.

Samsara also introduced Worker Safety and Qualifications Management features, including one-click SOS alerts, proactive check-ins, and automated tracking of driver and vehicle certifications. These tools help fleets maintain compliance, ensure safety, and streamline operational oversight.
