The LinkedIn AI feature deploys innovative algorithms that serve the most relevant matches for whatever the user is trying to query. As Rohan Rajiv, Senior Director of Product Management at LinkedIn, explained, the platform ranks results not only by potential matches but also by relevance to your search.

This ensures that users are connected with the people who are most likely to help them. The feature builds on an earlier AI tool that let job seekers describe their ideal roles, further extending LinkedIn's AI capabilities.

User Access and Availability

While currently it is only available to its premium users in the United States, LinkedIn envisions rolling it out to all other users in due time. It is part of the strategic effort by LinkedIn to apply AI throughout multiple areas of the platform, from content creation to personalized digests, ad optimization, and assistance in hiring.

With the LinkedIn AI feature, users had to rely on keywords or complicated filters to find exactly the right people. Now, users can describe what they are looking for, making it easier to connect with mentors, collaborators, or experts in specialized fields.
