Discover Fendi SS26 at Milan Fashion Week 2025, featuring Marc Newson’s dynamic pixel set design, vibrant colors, and transformative runway presentation that redefines modern fashion.
At Milan Fashion Week 2025, Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection captivated attendees with a dynamic set design by renowned designer Marc Newson. The stunning set, a field of vibrant pixel boxes, took inspiration from the composition of quilts and floral designs, offering a mesmerizing backdrop for the collection’s runway presentation. Stacked in varying sizes and heights, the pixelated landscape shifted in hues, creating an ever-changing visual pattern that responded to the movement of the models, enhancing the garments’ shapes, lines, and volumes.
Newson’s innovative set was not just a backdrop but an integral part of the collection's theme of transformation. As the models strutted across the runway, the shifting colors of the pixel boxes highlighted the collection’s focus on structural fashion. The SS26 collection included garments with balloon hems, cropped blazers, and oversized cotton coats—each silhouette amplified by the dynamic environment. Fabrics like organza, jacquard, and leather interacted with the backdrop, emphasizing the play between fullness and void.
The collection’s color palette echoed the changing tones of Newson’s pixel boxes, with hues such as white, yellow, turquoise, red, pink, and coral, which were explored in bold panels, stripes, and striking combinations. Primary and pastel tones seamlessly merged throughout the collection, creating a visual flow from the runway to the set. Each piece exuded a modern energy that resonated with both the craftsmanship and artistry of Fendi.
Frédéric Sanchez’s evocative soundtrack, blending Italian cinema, opera, and electronic music, complemented the collection’s rhythm, heightening the immersive experience. Together, the collection and Marc Newson’s set created an unforgettable moment of fashion transformation, where technology, art, and fashion harmonized in perfect unity.
