Sateliot’s 5G satellite IoT services are now up and running, a major milestone in linking rural and remote communities where there is no cellular coverage. As the first to deliver 5G standard-based connectivity via non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) with its own low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation, Sateliot has made its mark in the Australian market—acquiring a string of contracts and poised to connect over 300,000 IoT devices. These installations are set to bring in over $15 million AUD in recurring annual revenues.

After receiving their final approval from regulators, Sateliot Australia 5G satellite IoT solutions are now ready to be deployed nationwide. This ensures Australian telecommunications law compliance and opens the door to high-volume applications in large industries such as agriculture, mining, logistics, and environmental monitoring. Commercial operations are planned to be rolled out during the second half of 2025.

Pilot Program to Support Early Adoption

To make it easy to enter the market, Sateliot has launched a pilot program through which local IoT providers can pilot its 5G satellite connectivity. It provides businesses with a chance to pilot the service in real-life conditions and gain priority access to commercial plans once it is operational.

This is not a matter of launching satellites into space—it's a matter of applying real-world solutions to real-world connectivity problems," said Gianluca Redolfi, Sateliot's Chief Commercial Officer. "Sateliot Australia 5G satellite IoT is built to fit into current systems perfectly, without the need for companies to upgrade their devices or SIM cards."

Seamless Integration, No Hardware Modifications

What sets Sateliot apart is that it can offer standards-based, 3GPP-compliant connectivity. Sateliot's solution does not need new hardware or software updates, unlike traditional satellite solutions. Sateliot's solution allows enterprises to deploy with their current IoT devices and SIMs. This plug-and-play solution saves a lot of money and decreases deployment time.

The technology is especially valuable in Australia, where distances are enormous and the terrain is unforgiving, with conventional connectivity being challenging. By combining satellite coverage with land networks, Sateliot offers a hybrid solution that offers continuity over deserts, mountains, and coastlines as well.

Constructing Local Linkages through Sectoral Partnership

In an effort to become more rooted in the local IoT ecosystem, Sateliot became a member of the IoT Alliance Australia (IoTAA), Australia's leading industry association for IoT innovation. Membership in the association allows Sateliot to participate in national debate on connectivity standards, digital infrastructure, and rural inclusion.

The company is also working in association with Australian partners to put its services in place in the following industries:

·         Wildlife and livestock monitoring

·         Fleet tracking and asset management

·         Smart farming

·         Remote environmental data acquisition

These collaborations show how Sateliot Australia 5G satellite IoT can serve real, urgent requirements on the continent. Supported by leading International Investors Globally, Sateliot enjoys robust financial and strategic support.

Backed by the Spanish Government, the European Investment Bank, and telecommunications industry leaders such as Deutsche Telekom and Telefónica, the company is growing vigorously. Its latest €70 million Series B investment guarantees deployment of additional satellites and expansion overseas on a large scale.
